New Community Park in Ballingry

New Community Park in Ballingry

The site of the former Benarty Community Centre would be an ideal space to create a new community park. New playparks for the areas toddlers, young children and teenagers would provide much needed outdoor exercise and entertainment, whilst walking pathways, and cycle routes could also be incorporated along with park benches and picnic tables. The Navitie Park site has magnificent trees at present and is overlooked by many homes, providing supervision and security.

Points

This area did have a very well used playpark, previously funded by community groups which was removed as part of the site clearance and demolition of the community centre. We also suffered the loss of other amenities such as the six a side football pitches and the popular remote control racing track. We are now faced with the prospect of losing this valuable green space to developers.

It was a great area for kids to play and exercise. Would be nice to give them their play park back

This area will be perfect for a community park , for children and teenagers , lots of children are already playing on the site but it would be safer and better for them to have a proper play park . That will create as well a better connection between the families and help with a sense of being part of a community !
